Office Glass Partition Handover Checklist

EasyFix UAE planning guide · Updated 9 October 2026

A practical handover checklist for office glass partitions: layout, appearance, door operation, finishing, care information and outstanding items.

Bring the agreed scope to the walkthrough

Use the final drawing and quotation during the handover. Compare the installed layout, number of doors, frame colour and privacy pattern with what was approved. Walk the space with the installer so questions can be answered while the work is in front of you.

Inspect appearance in normal lighting

Look over each panel and frame from the positions where people will normally work. Note visible damage, marks, unfinished edges or areas needing cleaning. Check that privacy bands line up as agreed. Photograph concerns with enough surrounding context to identify the panel later.

Have every door demonstrated

Ask the installer to demonstrate opening, closing, latching and locking. Check that the handle is secure and that the door can complete its movement without scraping or striking furniture. If the system has a closer or sliding hardware, ask how it should behave and what signs mean it needs adjustment. Do not attempt hardware adjustments without appropriate guidance.

Review the completed details

Look at the floor, wall and ceiling junctions and compare visible finishing with the agreed scope. Record missing covers, incomplete seals or making-good work. Appearance checks do not replace any required technical inspection or certification; ask which documents apply to your specified system.

Collect care and service information

Request cleaning instructions appropriate to the glass, coatings, films and frame finish. Confirm which products to avoid and whom to contact if the door begins to catch or a seal becomes loose. Keep any warranty documents, product references and agreed service arrangements with the project record.

Close out outstanding items clearly

Create a short list with a photograph, location and description for each outstanding item. Agree who will address it and a target date, then check it again after completion. Separate finished work from items still awaiting attention so the handover record is clear for everyone.
